TURNING POINTE Dress Code:
All dancers are to be dressed appropriately for their classes. All dance attire is to be cleaned, and maintained at all times. Please refrain from wearing tights with holes and tears. Leotards are to be within the guidelines of the genre of dance. Do not wear dance shoes outside.
SORRY, No 2- piece dance attire that exposes the midriff will be permitted.

TURNING POINTE has a limited amount of new leotards, tights, shoes, and skirts available for purchase. Come in to see options. We can also help you order what you need.
All Pre- Dance: Pink leotards and tights, skirts are permitted. Hair securely fastened off the shoulders into bun.
Foundation 1 Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Irish: Pink Leotard with skirts only, for ballet. No dance shorts in ballet, but are permitted in Jazz, Tap, and Irish. Hair is to be securely fastened into proper ballet bun, NO ponytails please, with bobby pins and hairnet. No dangle type earrings or heavy jewelry permitted.
Foundation 2 Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary: For Ballet: Black leotard, ballet pink tights, skirt in any color, pink ballet slippers. Hair is to be pulled into bun and secured with bobby pins and a hairnet. Absolutely NO ponytails! For Tap, Jazz, Contemporary, Irish: Black leotard is permitted with dance shorts, or leggings. Hair is to be pulled off of shoulders, and out of face.
Foundation 3 and up Ballet/ Contemporary/ Jazz/ Pointe uniform: Any color, style, combination of leotard. Ballet pink, tan or black tights. Skirts are encouraged. Hair to be secured in classic ballet bun, secured with bobby pins and hairnet. No dangle or heavy jewelry.
**Please be aware that in Jazz, Lyrical, and Contemporary foundations 2 and up- a pair of DANCE knee pads are STRONGLY recommended. Save those knees!
TURNING POINT: Code of Conduct
TURNING POINTE School of Dance LLC. was created to be a place where all students can come together in a safe environment to share their love for dance. We welcome each student and their families. TURNING POINTE strives to be a community of interconnection and grounded in respect, tolerance, and mutual appreciation. Consequently, we expect each student, parent, faculty, staff, guests and siblings to act with kindness, compassion, and self-discipline in and out of the classroom.
This means each student, parent, guest, and staff will:
1. Conduct themselves with honesty and integrity.
2. Speak courteously to each other at all times.
3. Arrive to class on time and ready to dance, this means hair up, shoes on.
4. Treat school facilities and property, as well as the properties of others, responsibly.
5. Avoid disruptive behaviors in and out the classroom or anywhere on premises.
6. Refrain from gossip, as this will NOT be permitted- under any circumstance.
7. Refrain from treating other dancers, volunteers, parents, or staff, as subordinates.
In the event that one or more the mentioned principles of conduct is violated, TURNING POINTE agrees to organize a meeting between a director, any staff involved, and the parent(s) of the child concerned. Two or more infractions may lead to disciplinary action or require the withdrawal of a student. TURNING POINTE reserves the right to dismiss any student because of disregard of rules, violations of the law, or lack of parental cooperation.
